I looked at Tanu. He seemed more elegant...if that was the right word...more in control of his abilities. Very different to the Tanu I had left so many years ago.

He jumped from the beam and landed in front of me. Smiling he grabbed me around the waist and kissed me. I was surprised...he had certainly grown in confidence. I pushed him away.
"What, not to your liking?" He said with a glimmer of a smile on his lips.
Remaining silent, I raised an eyebrow and removed myself from his embrace. I began to walk around the room, inspecting the coffins, and looking each vampire in the eye. Finally I looked upon a young boy, he must have been about 15 when he was made. I held his chin up, I felt fear running through him. His eyes were the same bright orange as Tanu's. I suddenly caught sight of my hand. Snow white. I let go of the boy and looked at my hands...as if it were the first time I gazed upon them.
"What is wrong?" Tanu said. He walked towards me and took my hands in his. The spell must have worn off by now...or else Tanu would have said something. I felt him grip my hands. I looked up into his bright eyes.
"What colour are my eyes?" I said softly.
His face creased slightly, a look of confusion filled it. He was probably wondering if I had lost my mind.
"The same colour I have always known them to be." He said kissing my hands.

I pulled away from him. How could I return to my companions? They would try to kill me! Tanu saw how lost in thought I was and began to laugh. I was taken aback and looked at him again.
"Ah, Zet, always lost in that mind of yours. I was wrong, you haven't changed much."
I glared at him, I was not sure if I should have taken that last comment as an insult or compliment.

A howl broke the tention between us. A howl from a Lycan!
"This is not possible! There are no Lycans anywhere in this castle, nor could any live in the surroundings, not unless we know of it!" said the young vampire who had woken me.
The cry chilled me to the bone. A feeling in my gut told me my companions needed me.
"I must go." I said cooly making my way to the door. I knew that my friends would eventually know the truth...let it rather be sooner than later.
"Go? Where?" Tanu said grabbing my shoulder.
I looked at him. What should I tell him? I looked at him speechless.
"Well, if there is a Lycan about you should not go alone." He said,"We are going hunting. Join us."
I still said nothing. Then an idea struck me.
"Alright." I said. "Lets go hunting."
